Meet Katie Reed, DMD

Katie Reed, DMD

Dr. Katie Reed is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, which she calls home. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in 2019, where she was a member of the softball team for four years, earning All-America and Academic All-America honors. Following her undergraduate education, she was drafted to play professional softball for the Chicago Bandits of the National Professional Fastpitch League. After playing one season in the NPF, she began her dental school education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Reed received her DMD degree as well as a Certificate in Dental Public Health in 2023, graduating at the top of her class and receiving honors in comprehensive restorative dentistry and prosthodontics. During her time at Pitt, Dr. Reed was very involved in providing care for patients in the Center for Patients with Special Needs and developed a passion for serving this patient population. She was a volunteer with the Special Olympics Special Smiles program, where she provided free dental care to athletes with dental needs.

Dr. Reed moved to Denver in 2023 to continue her dental training at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, where she completed a General Practice Residency and received additional training in placing and restoring dental implants, performing periodontal surgery and molar root canals, and treating complex restorative cases.Dr. Reed takes pride in creating an environment where her patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. She is committed to working as a team to help her patients achieve optimal oral health, meet their dental goals, and obtain a healthy and confident smile.In her free time, Dr. Reed enjoys exploring the beauty that Colorado has to offer, whether that be hiking in the summers or hitting the ski slopes in the winter. She also enjoys golfing, running, and spending time with friends, family, and her miniature schnauzer, Rylie. She is an avid sports fan and loves cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
